Will Drew McIntyre get his revenge on CM Punk this Friday in Chicago, IL.
Drew McIntyre & CM Punk have one of the biggest blood-thirsty rivalry with each other on the active WWE roster. They have been in a feud since the beginning of this year, and the heated feud carried out throughout the road to WrestleMania 40, despite Punk getting injured.
The feud peaked at WrestleMania 40, where Drew won the World Heavyweight Championship, but moments later Punk assaulted him and made Drew lose his title by paving the way for MITB cash-in. Punk’s assault made McIntyre medically unable to compete for over a month.

Drew recently got cleared and took the first step to regain the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle PLE in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland. But Punk traveled all the way and again screwed his championship opportunity. This made Drew lose hope and announced that he is quitting WWE.
At this stage, WWE has officially announced that CM Punk will be returning to the June 21, 2024 episode of SmackDown in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. This made fans wonder could McIntyre also be appear on SmackDown this week. Here we take a look at the possibilities.
Will Drew McIntyre be on SmackDown?
As CM Punk made Drew McIntyre upset infront of his friends and families in Glagow, Scotland, McIntyre could upset Punk in his hometown of Chicago. Since, Punk said that he could potentially be cleared to soon and also claimed that he would not allow McIntyre to win the world title again, McIntyre could assault Punk, which could force Punk to extend his return timeline.
Drew previously teased that he have an issue with the Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce in recent times. With that being a thing, Drew McIntyre could choose SmackDown as the right place to assault Punk. McIntyre has nothing to lose at this stage, as he is ready to leave WWE, so he can do anything to assault Punk on SmackDown.
Drew McIntyre could play the game like an outsider sitting among the fans and look for the right time to attack Punk, similar to how WWE used to book feuds in the past. Punk also won’t have any right to have his hands on the spectator, as that might lead to suspensions.
However all these are speculations and nothing is confirmed yet. We need to wait and see what happens this Friday on SmackDown.
