Naomi & Jade Cargill are confirmed to face each other at WWE WrestleMania 41
It has been nearly 20 years since two women faced off in a non-title singles bout at WWE WrestleMania. Jade Cargill and Naomi will stop the streak in Las Vegas.
Jade Cargill and Naomi are about to create history. Following a series of violent altercations on Friday night’s broadcast of SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis declared it official. Cargill and Naomi will compete one-on-one at WrestleMania 41 later this month in Las Vegas.
The WWE Women’s Division seldom sees non-title singles matches on the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’, even in today’s wrestling scene. The last time two women battled in the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ without a Women’s Championship on the line was nearly two decades ago. Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson faced off in a Playboy Pillow Fight at WrestleMania 22. An obsolete stipulation bout that lasted only four minutes.
Also, it is worth noting that this will be the first non-stipulation non-title women’s match in WrestleMania history. Terri Runnels and The Kat had fought for two minutes at WrestleMania 2000 in Anaheim, California, before that night at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.
Cargill and Naomi have had a violent rivalry since it was discovered that Naomi destroyed Jade slamming her against a vehicle window some months ago, prior to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.
Jade was unable to compete for several months following the incident until she unexpectedly returned at 2025 Elimination Chamber PLE and savagely assaulted Naomi. Her actions validated many people’s suspicions that she or her tag team partner, Bianca Belair, were responsible for the attack on Cargill.
Belair won the 2025 Women’s Elimination Chamber Match after Naomi was eliminated before it began. She is now slated to compete in the Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY.
