The G.O.A.T of pro-wrestling will kick off his retirement tour on January 6

‘The Cenation Leader’ John Cena is all set to kick off his retirement tour on the Monday Night Raw debut episode on Netflix. The debut episode is set for January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

The transition marks a historic change in the Red brand’s programming as for the first time in three decades it will be exclusively available on streaming platform. Four high-stakes matches have been set for the debut show.

Liv Morgan is scheduled to defend the Women’s World title against Rhea Ripley in a last-woman standing match. After decimating Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre is now set to face Jey Uso in the debut episode.

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are set to lock horns in a tribal combat match with the Ula Fala on the line. CM Punk and Seth Rollins will also settle their differences in the squared ring on the January 6 episode.

The Stamford-based promotion is pulling out all the stops for the debut show, treating it as a special PLE with appearances from top stars and celebrities. Along with top stars like ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns, Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, and more, hip-hop icon Travis Scott is also confirmed for the event.

John Cena will do a full year-long tour with the WWE

WWE EVP Chris Legentil has revealed that the G.O.A.T of pro wrestling will go out on his own term as he will do a full year-long tour with the promotion next year before hanging up his wrestling boots.

On the 12/30 episode of the Red brand, the promotion also officially announced that Cena will kick off his retirement tour on the debut episode of Monday Night Raw. Following the announcement, many fans have started wondering if the 16-time WWE Champion would wrestle on the live show or not.

According to a recent edition of Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes addressed the rumors surrounding Cena returning for a match against Logan Paul on the debut show.

“No, if they’re asking if they can wrestle on Netflix show, I would say no. That match, if it were to happen, it’s going to get heavily promoted. So no, yeah, that that story just remains as we reported last Thursday, you know, interest on both sides, interest within the WWE to do the match, however, not at WrestleMania, that’s where,” said WrestleVotes.

As per WrestleVotes, WWE would have extensively promoted the match if it were officially set. They also highlighted the previous report that indicated WWE’s interest in booking a match between John Cena and Logan Paul.
