Becky Lynch takes a shot at the WWE Hall of Famer
It’s safe to say Becky Lynch does not like being compared to Hulk Hogan. For those who are unaware, certain members of the online wrestling community refer to The Man as ‘Becky Hogan’ because they believe she abuses creative power and routinely puts herself ahead of the other women in the locker room.
This is despite, you know, having previously pushed younger talents over on the grandest platforms conceivable. Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and Lyra Valkyria are some names she helped push to the top. Valkyria is currently set to battle this Saturday at Backlash.
The Man had a lot to say about the reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion Monday night, both during and after the program aired. Lynch spoke on Raw Recap with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant about the night Lyra beat her to become the WWE NXT Women’s Champion.
She stated that when Valkyria won the bout at Halloween Havoc 2023, Lynch expressed appreciation by lifting her hand. Becky was taken aback when Lyra responded to her ‘cheap shot’ on Raw last night with a spinning kick to the face.
“My wonderful face by that way, that’s already been scarred up. My nose doesn’t sit perfectly straight anymore. My shoulder is popping out. I’ve got scars on my arms.
All of this because of what I’ve given to this industry. I wear the scars of what I’ve done on my body. I wear them with pride, because of all I’ve given back.”
When Sam Roberts mentioned the ‘Becky Hogan’ memes, The Man didn’t hide her anger about being thrown in with the WWE Hall of Famer. She instructed the WWE Universe to get their facts straight.
“These people go around and compare me to the [scummiest] person on Earth? After everything I’ve done for them?”,
Lynch said. “And I’m the bad guy? I’m supposed to sit here and take it… Even though I haven’t done anything wrong? I broke through the glass ceiling. I changed the game.”
Becky Lynch is currently set to face Lyra Valkyria at WWE Backlash 2025. This will be her third match since returning to WWE after her long hiatus.
