Back inside, the endgame unfolded with both men swinging wildly. Sheamus connected with a thunderous Brogue Kick, but Rusev miraculously kicked out at the last second. In response, Rusev drilled Sheamus with a Machka Kick and used the shillelagh to batter him across the spine.

Finally, Rusev cinched in The Accolade with the shillelagh wrapped tight for extra torque. Despite his trademark grit, Sheamus had no choice but to tap out, giving Rusev a massive victory in his first major singles match back on the WWE stage.
