The first impression of some WWE superstars can never be outmatched in the history of the company.

Every WWE superstar who is known to the world as one of the greatest in-ring talents in the world started out nothing but as a rookie. Since that time, many of these elite-class stars have come a long way since their first appearance.

However, the first impression of a particular list of WWE superstars was a sight that could not be topped by any other debuts in the company. Here are the top five WWE debuts that can not be topped:

5. The Shield

At the 2012 WWE Survivor Series, three NXT rookies, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns, collectively known as The Shielf made their presence felt during the main event and destroyed two main event stars, Ryback and the face of WWE, John Cena. The night set the tone for these three individuals to rise above as main event talents themselves with their debut night being etched in the history of WWE.

4. AJ Styles

After becoming a world-class traveled athlete wrestling for major promotions, WWE saw the debut of “The Phenomenal One”, AJ Styles. He made his first appearance at the 2016 Royal Rumble event, entering the name-sake match as a surprise entrant to a thunderous ovation by the WWE Universe and going head-to-head with Roman Reigns. Moreover, Styles’ first night was the beginning of his quest to make WWE the house that AJ Styles built.

3. The Undertaker

The WWE Universe witnessed a mysterious and gigantic figure joining The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase’s Survivor Series team at the name-sake event in 1990, revealed to be The Undertaker. Right from his entrance to his spectacular debut performance in the match, The Phenom made a huge impact that night which would be felt in WWE for the next three decades and make him one of the most legendary names in the business.

2. The Rock

The Rock’s debut was hyped to a great extent before it ultimately happened. It was billed as the arrival of WWE’s first third-generation athlete from the historic Anoa’i family. The future Great One, who was called the Blue Chip prospect on his very first night, made his debut at the 1996 Survivor Series as part of the traditional tag team Elimination match that has been regarded as one of the most memorable WWE debuts of all time.

1. John Cena

In 2002, then-top guy of SmackDown, Kurt Angle issued an open challenge to the entire locker room. A rookie donning trunks and boots named John Cena stepped up to him with an abundance of “Ruthless Aggression.” Cena channeled that entirely and displayed an excellent performance against the Olympic Gold Medalist and managed to impress the audience despite coming up short. Cena’s performance was applauded by the fans, and WWE superstars including the legendary Undertaker, and became one of the best WWE debuts in the history of the company.
