Danhausen is currently signed with AEW.
In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers, Sean Ross Sapp stated that WWE would be wise to think about signing Danhausen if his AEW contract expires. Sapp also mentioned that Danhausen would be an excellent tag team partner for AAA’s Mr. Iguana.
The promotion might not have R-Truth forever to fill the role of a bankable wrestler with great comic timing. They can also make Danhausen into a bigger name, putting the might of their marketing team.
Danhausen’s last appearance in AEW was at AEW’s sister promotion, ROH. He made a surprise appearance during the ROH Final Battle 2024. Since then, he has been absent from All Elite programming.
During his AEW hiatus, Danhausen has stayed active on the independent wrestling circuit, making several appearances and staying active inside the ring. His most recent appearance was a match against Effy for the GCW World Title at GCW’s Green Mountains and Me PPV on November 9.
Major update on Andrade amid the non-compete fiasco

During the same edition of Fightful Select Answers, Sapp responded to a fan’s inquiry about Andrade’s situation, stating that there hasn’t been much progress. He mentioned that people are “looking into” the issue, but didn’t specify who is involved or in what capacity.
Recently, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that some sources suggest Andrade’s non-compete clause applies globally, not just in the U.S. Aside from a single appearance for The Crash, he has not competed for any other promotions.
There is a general assumption that the one-year non-compete clause is unlikely to be enforced, particularly if it remains unpaid, as it would significantly limit Andrade’s ability to make a living in his profession.
With most reports suggesting that Andrade is not receiving any payment from WWE during this time, the situation might be different. Many also believe that the non-compete could hold up in court if challenged.
