WWE fans spot new clue that could confirm identity of El Grande Americano

El Grande Americano’s identity has been a hot debate in the community!

Since his debut in March, when he defeated Dragon Lee, El Grande Americano’s identity has been the subject of a lot of debates in the pro wrestling community. WWE also created a promo for his introduction during the debut, where it was revealed that he is back to reclaim his title as the greatest luchador of all time.

As per the WWE website, Americano came from the Gulf of America and rapidly ascended to the top of the wrestling world, becoming the face of lucha libre for decades until, according to him, envious rivals forced him out of the spotlight.

Americano has now returned and is determined to restore glory and honor to the sport he holds dear. However, this intro has been met with a lot of skepticism within the locker room itself as many people were quick to point out that it was Chad Gable behind the mask, as both ‘men’ have the same persona, physique, wrestling style, and even tattoos.

Michael Cole, too, has been sure that it is Gable and always tries to make Americano reveal that he is, in fact, Chad Gable. However, Gable refutes the claim that he is Americano and continues to praise the luchador. Fans attending the shows have also joined in the fun, as when Americano is in the ring, fans start to chant, “He’s Chad Gable, No! He’s not”

During his appearance on the June 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, many fans took to X (Twitter) to point out how Americano was wearing the wrestling boots with C G initials, pointing out another clue that links Americano to Chad Gable.

El Grande Americano qualifies for the 2025 men’s Money in the Bank ladder match

In the main event of the June 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk, AJ Styles and El Grande Americano locked horns in the final qualifying match for the men’s MITB ladder match. The winner would have secured the final post and joined Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins and Andrade.

While it seemed like Punk is going to the match, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed interfered, costing him. AJ Styles, too, was looking to deliver the phenomenal forearm on Americano but got caught in the crossfire and took everyone out with a dive from the ropes.

Styles once again went for the phenomenal forearm, but Americano countered with a vicious headbutt mid-air to pick up the win and secure the final spot. After registering a win at WrestleMania 41, Americano is now looking to bag the MITB briefcase and create history.
