WrestleMania for the first time will be held outside of the US & Canada!

In a tweet yesterday, WWE CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque teased that he has a huge announcement that will change the game. The announcement was set at 3 PM ET ahead of SmackDown and featured several big names from the promotion.

“We’ll be making a huge announcement on @WWE’s YouTube channel. Friday at 3:00pm ET/12:00pm PT. I told you we’d change the game. And we’re just getting started.” Levesque tweeted.

The partnership continues to grow!

Levesque appeared during the livestream and announced that the 43rd edition of WrestleMania in 2027 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, was in attendance during the announcement.

“We are proud to announce that in 2027 WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.” Levesque said.

This marks the first time WrestleMania will cross the Atlantic Ocean and only the third time it’s being held outside the United States, with the previous two being WrestleMania 6 in 1990 and WrestleMania 18 in 2002, both hosted in Toronto.

The Stamford-based promotion also unveiled the logo for the show at the end of the announcement stream, which featured multiple superstars including: The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, and Charlotte Flair.

During the announcement, Al-Sheikh talked about what it means to him to have a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia.

“First of all, I want to thank the Crown Prince, who supported us… Without him, we can not do anything, and with his support, especially also for WWE, this will happen in our country, and before eight years ago, I meet my father, Vince McMahon, and Triple H, in my home when I was the Minister of Sport in my country, and I say to them, ‘Let’s go and have change into the future doing big project together,’ and I hope we deliver now some of what we say.

Before couples of years, my close friends, Nick Khan, became the President of WWE, and now, we are saying to him that, ‘You’re continuing the legacy of Vince McMahon and you delivered for us a very big project and very big surprise will come in this year and next year, inshallah.’ I see WrestleMania in Vegas…

It bring 200,000 people to Vegas and bringing $1.5 billion for the city. This is very important for us. For the first time in our region, the big event in the history of entertainment is in our city, in our country, and this is very big to us.”
