WWE legend picks CM Punk to win 2025 Royal Rumble over Roman Reigns

WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is scheduled for February 1 in Indianapolis

With the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble still two months away, hypotheses about who could win the 2025 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble have picked up, with the 2025 event being much more unpredictable than usual.

The 38th annual Royal Rumble PLE will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025. The tickets for the PLE have been on sale since November 15 via Ticketmaster.com.

Ahead of the PLE, BetOnline has released its updated odds for the highly anticipated men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match at the first PLE of 2025.

The updated early betting odds from BetOnline suggest that ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are the favorites to win their respective matches at the first PLE of 2025.

WWE legend Bully Ray believes CM Punk winning the Royal Rumble would be the ‘Biggest’ story

During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Hall of Famer Bully Ray suggested ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk as the ideal winner of the men’s Royal Rumble.

Ray also suggested that ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns and the Second City Saint should be the final two contestants in the men’s Royal Rumble which is scheduled for February in Indianapolis.

Can you think of anybody else being a bigger story than Punk winning the Rumble this year? We can make cases for Roman, we can make cases for Jacob [Fatu], we could probably make cases for Solo, but Punk winning the Rumble, let’s isolate this moment in time. It comes down to Roman and Punk and Heyman stabs Roman in the back so Punk could go over. Could anybody create a bigger moment than that?” Ray questioned.

The Hall of Famer also suggested a scenario where Paul Heyman betrays Reigns during the men’s Royal Rumble match which helps Punk bag the victory and secure his spot at WrestleMania 41.

Ray elaborated that a Royal Rumble win for Punk would set him up for a WrestleMania main event, a goal the former champion still craves. He also noted that the promotion has multiple main-event options for WrestleMania, including potential matchups like Punk vs Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa.
