3. Goldberg
The WWE Hall of Famer, Goldberg revealed earlier that WWE’s boss (former) Vince McMahon promised him a retirement match but he never got any such match.
However, in recent times, since the exit of McMahon, there have been major changes at the top as WWE legend Triple H is now in charge of the show. This change has led to developments regarding Goldberg‘s retirement match.
During an appearance on the SEC Network Goldberg has now confirmed his return next year and also revealed that his official retirement match will take place in 2025.
Goldberg’s last in-ring appearance was where against ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns in 2022, at the Elimination Chamber. The promotion could book the legend against the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther as he already has had a heated interaction with the Heavyweight champ at the Bad Blood 2024 PLE.
2. The Rock
Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson has also teased his return in the upcoming year as ‘The Final Boss’ appeared after the main event of Bad Blood 2024.
Johnson made an appearance following the main event in which Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu (The Bloodline). The Final Boss appeared after Rhodes and Roman‘s win and stared at the two stars. The Final Boss left without saying anything.
However, there is no confirmation regarding his opponent or a timeline for his return. The Rock could potentially face Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. The involvement of stars of such magnitude on the grandest stage will garner huge interest among fans.
1. John Cena
‘The GOAT’ John Cena stated his plans to retire from in-ring competition at the end of 2025 to concentrate on his acting career. The GOAT stated that it was finally time to hang up his boots.
Cena announced his retirement plans at WWE in the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The former 16-time World Champion would retire from in-ring action at the end of 2025.
