WWE recently hosted a star-studded Live Event on June 2, 2024 in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. The company hosted a total of eight matches in which all the titles were defended on the line, except the United States Championship match.
WWE don’t usually book pay-per-view worthy matches on the Live Events, but this event was full of big matches making it a head turner. Here we take a look at the match card and the results of WWE Live Event in Birmingham, Alabama.
World Tag Team Championship Match- The Awesome Truth vs The Judgment Day
The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) defended their World Tag Team Championship on the line against Finn Balor & JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day, where Awesome Truth successfully retained their titles.
Intercontinental Championship Match- Sami Zayn vs Chad Gable vs Bronson Reed
Sami Zayn defended his Intercontinental Championship title on the line against Chad gable and Bronson Reed in a Triple Threat match. This was the King and Queen of the Ring rematch, where Sami successfully retained his title.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match- Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair vs Damage CTRL
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line against Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL. In which Cargill and Belair retained their titles.
Women’s World Championship Match- Liv Morgan vs Shayna Baszler
Liv Morgan defended her Women’s World Championship on the line against Shayna Baszler in a singles match. During the final moments of the match, Liv Morgan countered Baszler’s knee strike into a ObLIVion to retain the title. This is the second championship title defense of Liv in less than one week with the title.
World Heavyweight Championship Match- Damian Priest vs Jey Uso vs Drew McIntyre
Damian Priest defended his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against his previous challenger Jey Uso and his upcoming challenger Drew McIntyre in a Triple Threat Match. Drew McIntyre successfully retained his title.
LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura
LA Knight in the live event called Logan Paul out, teasing a potential feud and future match. After the promo, Knight faced Shinsuke Nakamura in a singles match and won the match.
WWE Women’s Championship Match- Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton
At Bringham WWE Live Event, Bayley defended her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Tiffany Stratton in a singles match, where Bayley successfully retained her title.
Undisputed WWE Championship Match- Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles
Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against AJ Styles in a championship rematch at Birmingham. Where Cody Rhodes delivered three Cross Rhodes in the final moments to win the match and retain his title. It is important to note that days before the match, Styles attacked Cody on SmackDown, teasing them of continuing their feud.
