This week’s episode of the black and gold brand will keep building for NXT No Mercy
Roxanne Perez has held the WWE NXT Women’s Championship for 130 days. This is her second reign, with 239 days at the top. At NXT Stand and Deliver 2024, Perez beat Lyra Valkyria to win the championship.
Since then, she has dominated the sport, defending 10 titles during her second reign. Perez now needs a new opponent to defeat at NXT No Mercy.
Fortunately, NXT GM Ava has identified six suitable opponents for her. On a recent edition of WWE NXT, Ava grabbed the stage and announced a gauntlet elimination battle for the August 20th program. The victor of The Gauntlet Elimination match, which takes place next week, is exceptional.
Ava wanted to ensure that people who had not previously competed for the crown had a chance this time around. When the draw began, Ava selected three names: Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, and Sol Ruca.
Wren Sinclair has been on fire recently. Her victory at the Great American Bash helped Wren qualify for the NQCC and also helped Charlie Dempsey get a Heritage Cup title match, which he eventually won. Her presence alone should elevate the Gauntlet Elimination match to new heights.
During the second segment, Ava revealed the identities of Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey, and Karmen Petrovic. Karmen and Wren Sinclair appear to be the clear favourites in this battle. However, we have yet to discuss the order in which the contestants will take the ring.
Winning a Gauntlet Elimination match is difficult enough on its own, but doing it as the first person in the ring is a whole different story.
Karmen Petrovic, on the other hand, will be counting her fortunate stars if the NXT stars are requested to enter the ring in the order that they were selected. There will be a lot of skill within that gauntlet on August 20, 2024. Whoever wins will get an opportunity to face Roxanne Perez at No Mercy.

Wes Lee vs Joe Hendry vs Pete Dunne (WWE NXT Championship Eliminator)
It was revealed on Tuesday that a triple threat bout will take place on the August 20th episode of NXT. It’s a #1 Contenders Match between TNA’s Joe Hendry, Wes Lee, and Pete Dunne. The winner of that bout will face NXT Champion Ethan Page at No Mercy. Joe Hendry is projected to win the fight due to his popularity and his ongoing feud with Ethan Page.
Wren Sinclair vs Adrianna Rizzo vs Sol Ruca vs Jaida Parker vs Kendall Grey vs Karmen Petrovic (WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Eliminator Gauntlet)
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will face a six-woman Gauntlet Eliminator Match against Wren Sinclair, Adrianna Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey, and Karmen Petrovic. The winner of that match will face Perez at No Mercy for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship.
Hank Walker & Tank Ledger vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will face Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in what promises to be an exciting tag team fight. At Hank & Tank’s Great American Bash BBQ, the two teams clashed, forcing the Superstars to face off.
Lola Vice vs Wendy Choo
When the red-hot Lola Vice faces the deranged Wendy Choo, two of NXT’s best will go up against one other. Vice is trying to return to winning ways after her attempt to become NXT Women’s Champion was unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Choo has haunted the NXT women’s locker room since her return from injury, all while wearing a sinister smile.
Dion Lennox vs Ashante “Thee” Adonis
WWE has announced that new NXT Tag Team Champions Chase U (Andre Chase and Ridge Holland) will conduct a celebration on the August 20th edition of NXT. On the August 13th show of NXT, Chase U beat Nathan Frazer and Axiom to win the title. Additionally, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis will battle Dion Lennox.
