The Vanity Project ambushed Joe Hendry.
The January 27 episode of WWE NXT from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, set the stage heading for the highly anticipated February 3 show. The Vanity Project ambushed Joe Hendry in a brutal backstage attack to kick off the show.
In the first match of the show, NXT Tag Team Champions Darkstate (Osiris Griffin and Saquon Shugars) defeated OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) to retain the titles, while Jaida Parker defeated Nikkita Lyons in singles action.
Meanwhile, Dion Lennox defeated Myles Borne to secure a spot in the vacant NXT title ladder match. On the other hand, Lexis King defeated Tavion Heights, while Zaria defeated Thea Hail in singles action.
In the final NXT title ladder qualifying match, Keanu Carver triumphed over Andre Chase to secure the final spot. A huge brawl among the participants of the ladder match ended the show on a high note as fans wait for what’s in store next week.
Three titles will be contested at the Performance Center

As usual, the next week’s show of WWE NXT will emanate live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and the promotion has announced a stacked card for the show, including three high-stakes showdowns where gold is on the line.
The vacant NXT Championship will be decided in a high-stakes ladder match featuring Ricky Saints, Shiloh Hill, Sean Legacy, Jackson Drake, Dion Lennox, Keanu Carver, and Joe Hendry.
Following the attack on Hendry, GM Ava granted Jackson Drake a spot for next week, while noting that if Hendry is medically cleared in time, he will also be added, bringing the total number of competitors in the match to seven.
After emerging on top in the number-one-contenders match for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship during last week’s show, Zaruca (Sol Ruca & Zaria) are now set to take on the reigning Champions, The Elegance Brand (Heather by Elegance & M by Elegance) next week.
Meanwhile, NXT Women’s North American Champion, Izzi Dame, is set for her second title defense against former Champion Thea Hail and Lola Vice in a triple-threat match.
Additionally, Tony D’Angelo is set to make an appearance on the February 3 show. On the January 27 show, he spoke with GM Ava, who had him released from prison following his attacks during last week’s episode, and D’Angelo has stated that he’ll explain his actions next week. Ava also asked him not to interfere in next week’s ladder match for the vacant NXT title.
