Trick Williams (c) vs Oba Femi vs Eddy Thorpe – NXT Championship
NXT Champion Trick Williams will defend his title in a triple-threat match against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe. Oba Femi earned the title shot against the champion due to his Iron Survivor Challenge win at NXT Deadline 2024.
However, the clash was changed into a triple-threat match when Eddy Thorpe was added to the title match. Thorpe’s addition was due to the controversial ending of the Williams vs Thorpe match in the main event of the December 17th episode of NXT.
Roxanne Perez (c) vs Giulia – NXT Women’s Championship
The NXT women’s division has delivered some of the most exciting matches in recent times thanks in part to a capable champion and a stacked roster. However, the champion will now have to defend her throne tomorrow as a new contender has risen to challenge the status quo.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will defend her title against Giulia at the Shrine Expo Hall. Like Oba Femi, Giulia earned her spot as the #1 contender by winning the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match.
Cora Jade vs Stephanie Vaquer vs Lola Vice vs Kelani Jordan
Another example of how deep the Women’s division in the WWE’s developmental brand is the #1 Contender’s Match for NXT Women’s North American Championship.
Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer, Lola Vice, and Kelani Jordan will face off for the right to challenge Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. All four stars are chasing a shot at the title which is currently in the grasp of Fallon Henley.
Sudden Death Rules match for NXT Heritage Cup: Lexis King (c) vs Charlie Dempsey
As announced on WWE NXT’s December 31 episode, Lexis King will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Charlie Dempsey. King had previously defeated Dempsey to capture the Heritage Cup on the December 24 show. The two stars will now clash in the Sudden Death Rules match.
Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) vs Gigi Dolin, Shotzi & Tatum Paxley
Fallon Henley and her stablemates from Fatal Influence, Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne have been wreaking havoc on the female talent of the NXT roster.
Shotzi shocked everyone with her return a few weeks ago, helping Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin eliminate Fatal Influence. Now, this babyface trio has the chance to take down the heel faction once and for all, as a six-woman tag team match has been scheduled for New Year’s Evil.
The Rock set to appear
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made his electrifying return on the debut show of Monday Night Raw on Netflix at the Intuit Dome. After cutting a promo and acknowledging Cody Rhodes, Johnson crowned Roman Reigns with the Ula Fala following his victory in the tribal combat match.
Johnson then celebrated his return backstage and shared a moment with hip-hop star Travis Scott who was present for the debut show. The Rock also hashed his beef with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes as they shared a drink together.
Before leaving the arena Johnson called on the cameraman and revealed that he will be at NXT New Year’s Evil tomorrow night. Johnson posted the video on his Instagram handle making the announcement public. Johnson’s daughter Ava is the General Manager of the developmental brand.
