The vacated NXT Heritage Cup will be contested on this week’s show!

The June 23 episode of WWE NXT will emanate live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. The show will continue the Eliminator matches for the NXT title, with the winner getting a shot at the Champion at WWE Evolution 2025.

Multiple top names are advertised for the show, including TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Balke Monroe, Jordynne Grace, Tony D’Angelo, and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, among others.

After defeating Joe Hendry for the TNA World Title at WWE Battleground last month, Trick Williams has been on a tear, successfully defending the title in the two consecutive weeks that followed. After a two-week break, he is now set to defend the title for a third time against Josh Briggs.

Noam Dar was slated to defend the NXT Heritage Cup Championship against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo on the CW Network this Tuesday. However, the plans have altered. On Saturday, NXT General Manager Ava announced that Dar will not be able to compete this week and will have to relinquish the title due to injury.

Following the announcement, Luca Crusifino, to prove his loyalty to Tony D’Angelo, talked to GM Ava and got D’Angelo into the match. Lorenzo and D’Angelo will now battle for the NXT Heritage Cup this week.

Four matches were held last week to select the fatal four-way match participants for this week’s event, which will crown a new number one contender for Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s title. Now, Izzi Dame, Jaida Parker, Lash Legend, and Jordynne Grace are set to compete in a fatal four-way match this week to earn the number one contender spot for the championship. The winner will be facing Jayne at WWE Evolution on July 12.
