This week’s edition of WWE NXT featured the fallout episode from Roadblock. It was a packed special show, but now the focus is on WrestleMania weekend. For NXT fans, this meant Stand & Deliver over the weekend.
The 03/18 episode of the developmental brand aired live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, USA. Multiple matches and segments were announced for the show including Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green’s title defense.
In the first match of the show, Chelsea Green defended the Women’s United States title against Sol Ruca. Green was accompanied by Alba Fyre and Piper Niven. While Ruca put up an amazing performance outside interference from Fyre aided Green who landed The Unprettier to retain her title.
During a segment involving, Stephanie Vaquer and Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker ambushed Grace and claimed that she is first in line for Vaquer’s title, not Jordynne. Parker also suggested Vaquer to enjoy her reign as a double champion because it won’t last long.
Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) battled the team of Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in the second match of the show. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura picked up the win by pinfall after landing a diving splash from Inamura on Ledger.
In the third match of the show, the D’Angelo Family (Adriana Rizzo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, & Luca Crusifino) battled the Culling (Brooks Jensen, Izzi Dame, & Niko Vance) in a mixed tag team match. The Culling picked up the win via pinfall as Niko landed an Argentine DDT on Luca Crusifino.
Additionally, Jacy Jayne defeated Karmen Petrovic in a singles match, while Ricky Saints secured a win over Ridge Holland by pinfall with the Roshambo.
In the main event of the show, Eddy Thorpe and Trick Williams battled in a NXT Underground Match. Williams won by referee stoppage after delivering mounted punches. After the match, Williams called Oba Femi’s “punk ass” out and asks him to bring his title.
Femi stepped into the ring as the two came face to face, and then the lights went out. The mysterious Skull Men made their appearance while Je’Von Evans slid into the ring, but Trick shoved him down. Williams and Femi began brawling, and Evans got back up to join the chaos. Security and officials at ringside scrambled to break it up. Je’Von then delivered an Ace Crusher on Oba before locking eyes with Trick.
The Skull Men now revealed as Dark State, watched from the crowd as commentary teased next week’s show. Trick and Je’Von continued their intense stare-down as the show came to an end.
