World Heavyweight Champion Gunther to appear
The newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, is scheduled to make an appearance on this week’s show. The Ring General will likely celebrate his triumphant win over Jey Uso on last week’s Raw in the main event. However, with the Night of Champions inching closer and Mr. Money in the Bank lurking, the Champion will have his hands full.
Rusev vs Sheamus vs Bronson Reed vs Jey Uso – Fatal Four-way match for the King of the Ring Tournament
In the final match of the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament, Rusev, Sheamus, Bronson Reed, and Jey Uso will lock horns. The final participant in the match was revealed ahead of last week’s SmackDown, where GM Adam Pearce announced that former World Champion Jey Uso will participate in the final opening match. The winner of this match will battle Cody Rhodes, who has already secured his place in the semi-finals.
Asuka vs Ivy Nile vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Stephanie Vaquer – Fatal Four-way match for the Queen of the Ring Tournament
Similarly, in the final opening match of the Queen of the Ring Tournament, the returning star Asuka will lock horns with Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez, and Stephanie Vaquer in a fatal four-way to decide the final participant in the semi-finals. The winner will join Alexa Bliss in the semi-finals, and the winner between the two will then secure their spot in the finals.
