WWE Raw is one of the longest-running successful weekly TV shows!

WWE Raw is a professional wrestling flagship television show hosted by the world’s largest professional wrestling promotion, WWE.

This is one of the longest-running WWE shows, which has been running successfully for the last 31 years. The red brand is on its final run with the USA Network, as it moves to Netflix next year. With just months away from leaving the USA Network, the company has made a major change in the show format for the red brand and the announcement has become a viral topic on the internet.

WWE Raw moves to a two-hour format

On the September 09  2024 episode of Monday Night Raw, the Raw Color Commentator Joe Tessitore announced to the commentary desk that Monday Night Raw is officially moving back to a two-hour show from a three-hour show. This made a huge buzz among WWE fans and most speculated that it could be after Raw moved to Netflix in 2025.

However, WWE has officially announced on their social media handles the news saying that WWE Raw on USA Network will be returning to a two-hour format from 8 pm ET to 10 pm ET starting from, October 7, 2024, until the rest of 2024 December 30, 2024, when the flagship show wraps up with the season finale.

WWE on X/Twitter announced, “BREAKING: #WWERaw will be on @USANetwork from 8pm ET to 10pm ET starting on Monday, October 7th and through the rest of 2024 culminating with the @USANetwork finale on Monday, December 30!”

It is unknown whether the red brand will be moving back to a three-hour show again, when the show moves to Netflix in 2025, as there is no update made on the show. WWE Raw used to be a two-hour show until July 2012, after which WWE made the show three hours as there is an ever-expanding roster that needs more screen time. It is unknown how the company will be stacking stars in the two-hour format. However, wrestling fans believe that it could help talents with their recovery with on and off-screen time.

Is SmackDown going three hours?

Following the official announcement most of the fans wondered will the SmackDown on USA Network go three hours. Some fans checked the status on Hulu, where SmackDown reportedly seems to be marked as a three-hour show. Most of the fans wanted it, but there is no official update on the show going three hours.
