The two rivals will clash in WWE Raw’s debut episode

WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan is scheduled to defend her title against Rhea Ripley. The two stars have been locked in a fierce feud since April last year when Morgan attacked Ripley causing a legitimate injury.

Ripley had to vacate the title ending her dominant reign, Morgan later became the champion after defeating Becky Lynch. The feud between the two reached its peak when Dominik Mysterio betrayed Ripley and sided with Morgan in their title clash at SummerSlam 2024.

This is their third singles match since the feud began, Morgan and Ripley both have one win over each other, while Ripley along with her team recently defeated Morgan’s team in the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024 PLE.

This win has given Ripley bragging rights ahead of their scheduled title clash at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on January 06.

Ahead of the clash, a match graphic started circulating on social media which stated that the clash between the two would be a last-woman-standing match. Speculations among fans about the added stipulation quickly made the ‘supposed’ change viral.

However, there is no indication by the WWE as of now that the Women’s World title match will be a last-woman-standing match. The promotion has not mentioned anywhere about the stipulation and recent promotional graphics also don’t mention any stipulation.

In contrast, the clash between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will be in a tribal combat match for the Ula Fala and the same has been mentioned on their website and promo graphics. It has also been mentioned during the initial announcement during the broadcast.

Rhea Ripley is tied with Bayley as the longest-reigning Women’s World Champion

The injury Ripley suffered due to the backstage attack by Morgan on the April 8, 2024 episode of the Red brand forced her to vacate the title the following week. This ended her reign at 380 days, Rhea was just a day away from breaking the longest-reigning Women’s World Champion record.

She is currently tied with former multi-time champion Bayley as the longest-reigning Women’s World Champion. Ripley successfully defended the title for the tenth time against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 (Night 1). This was her last title defense as she was forced to vacate the title soon.

On the other hand, Liv Morgan has surpassed multiple former champions and is currently in the second spot with her 223-day reign. Morgan recently defended her title last month at Saturday Night’s Main Event against Iyo Sky.

Who do you think will emerge victorious in the clash between the two rivals? Will Dominik Mysterio interfere in the clash to aid Morgan? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
