WWE RAW on Netflix debut: Top three matches that should be added to January 6 card

These stars deserve a chance to showcase their talent on the historic show

The Stamford-based promotion is gearing up for the highly anticipated debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix which is set for January 6. This historic episode will air live from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

Several top stars are scheduled to appear on the landmark show, including Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, John Cena, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

Additionally, hip-hop icon Travis Scott will make a special appearance. Four high-stakes matches have been set for the debut show including a title clash two grudge matches and a tribal combat match where the Ula Fala is on the line.

However, there are still many stars that should get a chance on the historic show of WWE Raw to showcase their talents. These matchups will not only help them showcase their talents but will also be fan-favorite matchups that would add to their respective storylines.

3. Bronn Breakker vs Dominik Mysterio

Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker defended the title in a triple-threat match against Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser. Breakker not only defended his title but showcased his abilities as a wrestler inside the ring and a star outside of it.

On the other hand, Dominik Mysterio is one of the most hated heels in the promotion right now. Although he has not really been successful in his recent outing that has not affected his marketability. Dirty Dom recently fought Breakker in a dark match on the 12/06/24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

A match between the two rising stars would be an amazing addition to the debut show next week and it would certainly deliver as the athleticism of the two young stars would be on full display.

2. Braun Strowman vs Jacob Fatu

The two giants recently faced off during last week’s episode of SmackDown where Solo Sikoa‘s Bloodline targeted Sami Zayn and Jey Uso as Sikoa sent a warning to Roman Reigns ahead of their clash on January 6.

During the attack, Braun Strowman appeared and soon stepped into the ring which led to a fierce face-off between him and Jacob Fatu. Fans in the arena and online were losing their minds witnessing the two giants face-off.

However, before Strowman and Fatu could start the brawl, Tama Tonga interfered by grabbing Strowman’s legs, allowing The Bloodline to quickly take control and take down Strowman. This left a bitter taste in fans’ mouths as they wanted to see the battle between Strowman and Fatu.

The promotion could book a match between the two stars for the Raw debut episode as matches like these rarely happen and whenever they do it sure does generate a lot of buzz in the fandom.

1. Damian Priest vs Finn Balor

The WWE fandom likely believed that the feud between the former Judgment Day members was over, but Finn Balor proved them wrong when he attacked Damian Priest during his title match against Gunther at the Survivor Series 2024 PLE.

The attack reignited the feud between the two as Priest still hasn’t forgotten the betrayal he suffered at the hands of Balor which was followed by Balor kicking out Priest from the Judgment Day. Priest somewhat excited his revenge by costing Balor and JD McDonagh the WWE Tag Team title against War Raiders.

The addition of War Raiders to the equation has suddenly neutralized the numbers game in Priest’s favor. The promotion should book a grudge match between the two stars for the debut episode, as it would not only be a great addition to the card but also help push Balor’s singles career following the loss of the tag titles.
