WWE reportedly in talks with Bad Bunny for WrestleMania 42 appearance

Speculation continues to grow that rap superstar Bad Bunny could make a comeback to WWE as WrestleMania 42 approaches. Bunny created waves after his halftime performance at Super Bowl LX recently.
The rap icon first appeared in WWE in 2021, and he also managed to win the 24/7 Championship from Akira Tozawa with the help of fellow Puerto Rican, Damian Priest. The two stars also teamed up to defeat the team of John Morrison & The Miz at WrestleMania 37.
He last wrestled for WWE in 2023 at Backlash in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Bunny defeated Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight. This was also his last appearance on WWE Television.
Since then, there have been murmurs, but he has yet to make a return to WWE. However, this is likely going to change at WrestleMania 42 as a new report has provided an update regarding the possibility of his appearance.
WWE has been in contact with Bad Bunny
WrestleVotes Radio reports that WWE reached out to Bad Bunny’s team well before the Super Bowl to discuss his potential involvement. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, the talks are said to be encouraging.
A WWE insider mentioned that the company would “absolutely” be open to having Bad Bunny at the Premium Live Event, even if it’s just for an appearance rather than competing in the ring.
Additionally, WON‘s Bryan Alvarez reports that WWE is reportedly considering a tag team match featuring Bad Bunny and potentially Logan Paul, though it’s unlikely to be a singles bout or take place at WrestleMania 42 in April.
The 42nd edition of WrestleMania will take place as a two-night event on Saturday, April 18 and 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
