Let’s discuss the latest rumors making the rounds among fans on social media!
Speculation and rumors are among the favorite pastimes of WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of the Crown Jewel 2025, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.
In today’s edition of the roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including plans for Jacob Fatu, Backlash PLE, WWE content leaving Peacock, and more.
Jacob Fatu all set to make his WWE return

Jacob Fatu is reportedly nearing his return to WWE programming, marking the end of a long absence that began after his brutal backstage attack in October.
The assault wasn’t just a storyline; Fatu suffered real dental injuries that required surgery, extending his time away longer than expected. Now, recent reports indicate that WWE is preparing a renewed push for him in early 2026.
Sources suggest the company views Fatu as a priority, with creative plans already forming to bring him back with impact rather than easing him into the mid-card.
The timeline aligns closely with the 2026 Royal Rumble season, a prime spot for a comeback. Fans have already begun fantasy-booking his future, whether entering the title scene immediately or returning as a dominant force capable of shaking up the roster. One thing is clear: WWE wants its resurgence to feel big, dangerous, and unforgettable.
WWE content soon leaving Peacock

Several parts of WWE’s classic library, including WCW and ECW programming, are expected to exit NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform by the end of the month. The shift raises major questions about where fans in the United States will be able to stream legacy content moving forward.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the long-term U.S. destination for the WWE archive remains undecided, though he noted that ESPN has expressed interest in securing portions of the library. If negotiations progress, select content could make its way to ESPN’s streaming ecosystem.
However, the scope of potential rights and how ESPN would present the content is still unclear. Meltzer also pointed out that Netflix holds the international streaming rights for WWE’s premium live events (PLEs), yet a large volume of archival footage has not been added to the service.
In the United States, the newly revamped ESPN App currently streams WWE PLEs, beginning with September’s WrestlePalooza in Indianapolis.
While library placement is being sorted out, Peacock will continue to host select WWE programming through the month. On December 13, the platform will air WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, featuring the final match of John Cena’s legendary career from Washington, D.C.
Piper Niven might never wrestle
WWE’s Piper Niven is facing a potentially career-ending situation after suffering a serious neck injury, as discussed on Wrestling Observer Live.
Bryan Alvarez highlighted Niven’s condition while speaking on the growing concern around neck trauma in wrestling, noting that she has been sidelined since August.
According to Alvarez, Niven “might never wrestle again,” with talk suggesting the injury “is a career ender.” He explained, “It is her neck, and it’s the same deal, you know, it was wear and tear, and took a bump, and that was it.”
Niven recently addressed her health struggles in response to William Regal’s viral warning post, writing, “The line between I feel fine and I just want to feel okay again is horrifically thin. You have zero idea how close you are to teetering on the edge of it.”
The discussion was sparked by recent safety concerns following a dangerous AEW Worlds End spot involving Kyle Fletcher.
Is Jacob Fatu confirmed for an early 2026 WWE return?
Reports suggest WWE has plans mapped out for Jacob Fatu’s comeback in early 2026, aligning with Royal Rumble season. However, the company has not officially announced his on-screen return yet.
Why is WWE content leaving Peacock?
Select portions of WWE’s library, including WCW/ECW material, are expected to leave Peacock as rights discussions shift. ESPN has shown interest in the U.S. archive, while Netflix currently holds international PLE rights.
