Plans for Liv Morgan

According to a report from Self Made Pro, WWE has been considering a major push for Liv Morgan, which could see her win the Royal Rumble and go on to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania.

Morgan, along with Roxanne Perez, is set to take on Women’s Tag Team Champions RHIYO (Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky) in a title showdown at the January 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Roxanne Perez’s praise

Per PWInsider, Roxanne Perez has been managing multiple lingering physical problems rather than a single injury.

Even while described as “banged up,” The Prodigy continued performing throughout WWE’s recent European tour and the grueling weeks that followed, earning recognition for showcasing professionalism and pushing through the wear and tear.

Rusev & The Street Profits’ absence

PWI Elite reports that Rusev and The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) have been kept off WWE programming due to an internal creative strategy.

Rather than involving them in ongoing storylines, WWE is reportedly holding them back to preserve their appeal and keep them “fresh” for future television opportunities.

Rusev’s last appearance came on the December 6 edition of Main Event, where he defeated Otis. On the other hand, The Street Profits’ last in-ring appearance was on the November 1 episode of Main Event, where they defeated Los Garza (Angel & Berto) in a tag team competition.

El Hijo del Vikingo’s contract

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite, El Hijo del Vikingo is signed directly to WWE, making his contract different from those of most AAA wrestlers. The report notes that AAA’s ownership structure is unique following its acquisition, which was announced during WrestleMania 41 weekend in April 2025.

WWE, operating under TKO Group Holdings, purchased a 51% controlling interest in the Mexican promotion, while the remaining 49% is held by Fillip, a Mexico-based sports and entertainment company. The report notes that most AAA talent are signed directly to Fillip, which co-owns and operates the promotion alongside TKO. Vikingo, however, is a notable exception, as he holds a contract directly with WWE.

Chad Gable’s return & Dragon Lee

PWInsider has also reported that there have been pitches within WWE for American Made’s Chad Gable to return as early as next Monday’s episode of Raw in Toronto, Ontario.

The January 26 episode of Raw will serve as the go-home show of the Royal Rumble PLE, which is set for January 30 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

According to Self Made Pro, WWE, particularly the Raw creative team, is very enthusiastic about Dragon Lee at the moment.

Lee has been heavily featured in recent times, including his World Tag title reign alongside AJ Styles and the ongoing feud against the Vision, where he has teamed up with Penta and Rey Mysterio.

Why are Rusev & The Street Profits absent from WWE programming?

Per PWI Elite, Rusev and The Street Profits have been kept off WWE programming due to an internal creative strategy.

Is Roxanne Perez injured?

No, per PWInsider, Roxanne Perez has been managing multiple lingering physical problems rather than a single injury.
