Meltzer also dismissed rumors about Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson influencing WWE’s current storyline direction, confirming that the decision was entirely Levesque’s.
According to BodySlam.net, Powerhouse Hobbs will be known as Royce Keys in WWE. The promotion filed to trademark the name on January 20th.
Sources close to AEW told Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline that Hobbs’ move to WWE was motivated by a more lucrative offer, though he parted ways with AEW on good terms, with no one harboring ill feelings toward him.
WrestleMania 43 offer for The Rock & Major show in Wales
Dave Meltzer, via the WON, shared that when WrestleMania 43 was announced for Saudi Arabia last year, local sources indicated they wanted The Rock to be part of the event. Meltzer also disclosed that The Rock would receive the biggest offer ever made for a pro wrestling appearance if he accepts the invitation.
On the other hand, Andrew Baydala revealed there’s significant buzz around the promotion hosting a major event at Wales’ Principality Stadium in August 2026. However, it’s not expected to compete directly with AEW’s All In at Wembley Stadium.
