Speculation and rumors are rife ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble PLE

Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans around the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the pro wrestling world.

As the Royal Rumble PLE approaches fans are unable to control their excitement and rumors around social media are widespread. The first PLE of 2025 will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 1.

In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors among fans, including updates on Wyatt Sicks, Alexa Bliss, Omos & more.

Wyatt Sicks update

A new source offers an update on The Wyatt Sicks, who have been AWOL from WWE TV in recent weeks.

On the January 13th edition of WWE RAW, Karrion Kross announced that the group had been relocated to WWE SmackDown. The Wyatt Sicks have not wrestled on WWE television since the December 9th episode of WWE RAW, however they did participate in a few live events during the Christmas tour.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) says that while the Wyatt Sicks’ absence was supposed to be due to Alexa Bliss’ scheduled return being canceled, business insiders suggest that a “injury-related reason” is preventing them from appearing on WWE television.

Alexa Bliss’ latest status

Sources stated that Bliss’ absence has not had an impact on the group’s long-term goals. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Bliss was set to return on the January 13th episode of WWE RAW, and a narrative involving Wyatt Sicks had been suggested as part of it. However, these plans have been put on hold. The incident was ultimately revealed to be a contractual problem.

AJ Styles returning

With WWE preparing for this year’s Royal Rumble, the promotion is apparently hoping to have AJ Styles back in action. Styles has been missing from television for months, his most recent big appearance being a SmackDown bout against Carmelo Hayes.

Shortly later, WWE reported that Styles had sprained his mid-foot ligament. Styles subsequently revealed that the issue was a Lisfranc injury, a severe disease that affects the bones and ligaments in the center of the foot, leaving him feeling “cooked.”

Omos returning from Japan

There has been a huge update about Omos’ return to WWE. The veteran has not competed for the promotion in 299 days, but he has stayed busy throughout his absence from the WWE.

Omos hasn’t been on WWE television since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 5, 2024 edition of SmackDown. The Nigerian Giant recently competed in Pro Wrestling NOAH and won the GHC Tag Team Championship with Jack Morris.

According to a recent report from PWInsider, Omos is returning to the organization for the Royal Rumble weekend. It is unclear whether the former champion will compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble this weekend.
