Let’s discuss the latest rumors making the rounds among fans on social media!
Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of WrestleMania 41, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.
In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media.
WWE’s real championship plan for Jade Cargill revealed
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE had major plans for Jade Cargill before her injury in late 2024 shifted the women’s title picture.
Cargill was reportedly set to win a championship and defend it at WrestleMania 41, with Meltzer noting, “The perfect thing for Naomi to cash-in is Jade (Cargill) as Champion… Jade was supposed to be Champion by WrestleMania, and defending it at WrestleMania.”
Cargill was written off TV following a November 2024 backstage attack on SmackDown. While the extent of her injuries was unclear, the absence changed WWE’s plans. Naomi has since won the 2025 Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase, and her history with Cargill sets up a natural rivalry once Jade returns to the title scene.
WWE reportedly planning two WrestleManias
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s ongoing talks about potentially branding a Saudi Arabia event as WrestleMania.
He explained the current thinking: “The other option would be for that year to have ‘the Saudi WrestleMania’ and the actual WrestleMania,” which, in theory, “eases the backlash against doing it, and they can still get the money for WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia.”
According to Meltzer, WWE has yet to decide if a Saudi WrestleMania would replace the traditional U.S.-based show or if both would happen in the same year. The idea is still under internal discussion, with no final decision made by WWE as of now.
Dave Batista offered role in Guy Ritchie’s Roadhouse 2
Former multi-time WWE Champion Dave Batista has reportedly been offered a role in the upcoming sequel to Road House, directed by Guy Ritchie.
As per Deadline, Batista is being eyed for a part in the follow-up to the 2024 sequel starring Jake Gyllenhaal, though talks for his involvement have yet to officially begin.
Ritchie takes over directing duties from Doug Liman, with Will Beall handling the script. Notably, Beall also co-wrote Bad Boys: Ride or Die in 2024.
While no production or release date has been confirmed, Batista’s schedule is packed, with roles in Trap House (releasing in November 2025) and The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, where he voices the villain.
