Speculation and rumors are among the favorite pastimes of WWE fans worldwide. Fans from all over the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the world of pro wrestling. In the aftermath of the Crown Jewel 2025, the rumor mill continues to run in full force.
In today’s edition of the roundup, we cover the latest rumors and news circulating among fans on social media, including plans for John Cena, Brock Lesnar’s return, a special start time for Raw, White House using a WWE storyline, and more.
Plans for John Cena

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the promotion has discussed the idea of John Cena defeating Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental championship. With Cena then defending the title against Gunther in the final match of his career at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Cena’s final match is set to take place in Washington, D.C., on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena’s final match will headline the show at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., marking the venue for the historic final match of Cena‘s legendary career.
Seth Rollins’ injury, major mishap
Dave Meltzer mentioned that prior to Seth Rollins injuring his shoulder, there were plans for The Vision to take over Raw even further, with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker poised to win the World Tag Team Championship.
The Observer also reports that before Rollins’ injury, there was reportedly backstage talk that Austin Theory would be joining the faction at Saturday Night’s Main Event to establish his role in the upcoming WarGames match.
Brock Lesnar’s return

According to The Observer, there was significant opposition within WWE regarding Brock Lesnar‘s return, with some people strongly against it. In fact, several women on the staff were reportedly “privately disgusted” by the idea.
Additionally, many production team members felt that Lesnar’s return didn’t have a lasting impact beyond the first week, and they considered his segment with R-Truth to be embarrassing.
Special start time for Raw & Nikki Bella

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select believes Nikki Bella has been missing from Raw recently because the promotion didn’t have any plans for her to be in Australia for Crown Jewel last weekend.
The latest update he’s heard is that Bella will be making occasional appearances, with WWE expecting her to be part of the show for the foreseeable future.
Per Fightful, there have been internal discussions about possibly moving Monday Night RAW back to a 7 PM ET start time for a few episodes in December and January.
White House using WWE storyline & AI
According to The Observer, WWE officials at the top have boasted that even the White House drew inspiration from WWE storylines. Specifically, during the height of the Epstein Files scandal, a White House press office official reportedly texted a prominent WWE figure.
This prompted Triple H to tell WWE staff that Paul Heyman’s comments defending Brock Lesnar’s return were “part of the inspiration” behind the Trump administration’s response to the controversy.
Following Lesnar’s unexpected return during the ongoing sexual assault scandal, Paul Heyman told Ariel Helwani:
“Everyone has criticism in life. There are people that criticize Jesus. There are people that criticize Moses. There are people that criticize Muhammad. There are people that criticize God or Gods.”
Furthermore, the Observer reports that Cyrus Kowsari, who is overseeing WWE’s AI-driven creative storytelling, is also serving as a liaison to the White House, as Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque takes on more political responsibilities in some capacity.
