Speculations and rumors are among some of the favorite pastimes for WWE fans worldwide. Fans around the world enjoy discussing and debating various aspects of the pro wrestling world.

In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors among fans, including whispers about International PLEs & WrestleMania 2027 plans, Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair for WrestleMania 41, Hulk Hogan’s SNME appearance, Scott Steiner teasing Royal Rumble appearance, and more.

International PLE & WrestleMania 2027 plans

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Nick Khan “was misinterpreted” last week when talking about WWE’s international PLE plans for 2025. He clarified that “there absolutely will be a PLE in Paris” in 2025, but “as of right now there is no planned PLE show in Germany for 2025.”

The outlet also cleared the air regarding WrestleMania 2027 plans, as per the newsletter, “rumors about WrestleMania being held in Indianapolis in 2027 aren’t true.” While Indianapolis will host a WrestleMania event, it will most likely be in the early 2030s.

“There is a WrestleMania date coming to Indianapolis, but it’s many years from now, I believe in the early 2030s.”

Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair

According to Fightful Select, the Stamford-based promotion is internally discussing a potential match between Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

Ripley recently defeated Liv Morgan in a historic debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix to become the two-time Women’s World Champion while Belair along with Naomi is the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Hulk Hogan’s SNME appearance

Despite early speculations, it was clarified that WWE legend Hulk Hogan will not be making an appearance at the January 25 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

According to PWInsider, Hulk Hogan will not be at Saturday Night’s Main Event tonight because “he was never scheduled to be there.” The report further clarifies that the promotion did not book Hogan for the event due to his son Nick’s wedding this weekend.

Dr. Chris Featherstone has reported the same via X, stating that Hogan will not be appearing on SNME due to family commitments.

Scott Steiner teasing Royal Rumble appearance

Scott Steiner in recent times has mended fences with the Stamford-based promotion, the WWE legend also revealed earlier that the Stamford-based promotion offered his son, Brock Rechsteiner, a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal while he was playing wide receiver at Jacksonville State University.

The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion has now teased his appearance at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE. Steiner teased his appearance while replying to Pat McAfee who tweeted expressing his excitement for the upcoming PLE.

“only way Royal Rumble reaches true EPICness is with Big Poppa Pump in the building.” Stenier replied.

TNA – WWE partnership

WWE recently announced a multi-year partnership with TNA wrestling which was “aimed at creating unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming for NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars.”

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one of WWE’s objectives with its multi-year TNA partnership is to damage AEW by creating the illusion that TNA is the number two wrestling promotion, even though that’s “nowhere close” to being true.

The report further adds that “TNA did attempt to sell to Tony Khan in 2018.” While some believe WWE might eventually buy TNA, The Observer notes that “it would be difficult for TKO/WWE to purchase another wrestling company until 2028.”
