According to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer reports that WWE plans to offer major paydays to legends like The Undertaker, The Rock, Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels for potential in-ring returns at WrestleMania 43, set to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027.

Per Metlzer, the idea is to present the “most star-studded show ever,” with no budget limitations. He also adds that the promotion is prepared to offer massive paydays to lure big names out of retirement.

“The idea is to present the most star-studded show ever, by far. Everyone, anyone, money is no object. Any name you can imagine obviously they’re going to be after. I presume it’s the only WrestleMania of that year but when I first heard one of the ideas was to do a two WrestleMania year one year so that way it keeps the American fans not upset about Saudi Arabia…The deal was done by August 6th, because that was the first day I was told there would be a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia for sure.

They’re paying the money for it and they have matches that they want and they’re working really, really hard to get. I don’t know if they’re going to be able to get them but they’re going to spend a lot of money to get what they want.

Yes, we’re talking about anyone coming out of retirement that wants to come out of retirement of big name value will be able to get a lot of money on this show. I would presume all of those people would be contacted [Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, The Rock, Steve Austin] and the ones who want to do it will be able to. The ones who have any interest in a great payday, they’ll be able to get on that show.”

Meltzer also reports that WWE initially intended to hold WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia in 2028, but Turki Alalshikh pushed for the event to be moved up to 2027 to align with the 300th anniversary of Saudi Arabia’s founding. Additionally, multiple outlets believe the Saudi Arabia show will be the only WrestleMania event in 2027.

Furthermore, per WOR, the deal for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia is worth well over $100 million.

A Saudi Arabian source said: “I can’t share with you the exact number but WWE asked for a higher number than $100 million as the show will feature The Rock (if the agreement is reached) and will be a packed mega stars show as the General Entertainment Authority requested.”

The Observer also notes that sources close to Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority claim that a deal for The Rock to compete at WrestleMania 43 is nearing completion.

Back in August, Saudi officials were pushing for The Rock to face either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns. If finalized, his payout would be the largest ever given to a professional wrestler for a single event in the industry’s history.

The Observer also notes that while it would be challenging, it’s not out of the question for Donald Trump to attend John Cena’s final match in Washington, DC.

Trump is expected to be at the Army vs. Navy football game the same day, kicking off at 3 PM ET at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

According to Dave Meltzer, the promotion informed him that Stephanie Vaquer missed this week’s Raw contract signing because of a “minor injury,” though she’s now cleared. However, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline reported the opposite, stating she was never injured.

The former NXT Women’s Champion herself addressed the situation and clarified in a conversation with Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez.

“No, I [see] social media sometimes, many things like, not real, No injuries. I’m ready. I’m ready for RAW for next Monday. So no, no injuries.”

Vaquer, during the interview, also opened up about her ongoing effort to learn the English language since arriving in the promotion.

“I need to be honest. This is so difficult for me right now…I know my English is not good, perfect yet…I think [I’ve been here] for 10 months, my English maybe is not so bad, and I really want to learn more. So I try to be brave. And if interview in English or in Spanish, I say yeah, let’s do it.”

As per PW Insider, Rey Mysterio is nearing his in-ring return after recovering from injury and is scheduled to be at the Performance Center next week as part of his comeback preparations.

PW Insider also reports that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was discharged from a Florida hospital on Thursday after suffering a stroke last week and has returned home to Memphis to continue his recovery.

Paramount Skydance’s bid

According to The Wall Street Journal, Paramount Skydance is preparing a bid to acquire all of Warner Bros. Discovery. This move is significant in the pro wrestling landscape, as Paramount is the new media partner for TKO’s UFC, while Warner Bros. Discovery currently serves as the media home for AEW.

Is Stephanie Vaquer injured ahead of Wrestlepalooza 2025?

No, Vaquer herself shut down the injury rumors in an interview with Adrian Hernandez and confirmed that she will be appearing on Raw next week.

Is WWE planning to bring back Hall of Famers for WrestleMania 2027?

Yes, according to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, WWE plans to offer major paydays to legends like The Undertaker, The Rock, Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels for potential in-ring returns at WrestleMania 43.
