Let’s dive into the latest WWE rumors and news!

As the Stamford-based promotion prepares for two back-to-back mega-events, including Saturday Night’s Main Event and the first PLE of 2025, the Royal Rumble, rumors and speculations are running wild among fans.

Speculations are a favorite past-time for WWE fans as they love to discuss and debate many facets of the pro wrestling game. In today’s edition of the rumor roundup, we cover the latest rumors among fans, including whispers about AJ Styles’ contract, WrestleMania 41, Jordynne Grace’s WWE arrival, Jade Cargill’s return, and more.

Update on AJ Styles’ WWE contract

‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles has been absent from WWE programming since October 2024, when he battled Carmelo Hayes. Styles made his return after a three-month hiatus on the specified date during Friday Night SmackDown.

However,  on his first night back, the Phenomenal One injured his ankle which forced him out of action once again. According to a recent report from Fightful, Styles’ contract was nearing its end before he suffered the injury, and this injury could potentially lead the promotion to extend his contract to account for the time missed.

WrestleMania 42

As mentioned above the Stamford-based promotion is ready to kick off the first PLE of 2025 next month in Indianapolis. Ahead of the Royal Rumble PLE, new reports suggest that New Orleans is the frontrunner to host WrestleMania 42 which will be held next year.

PWInsider has reported that New Orleans is currently the frontrunner to host WrestleMania 42 next year. The discussions about Louisiana as a potential location have been ongoing for weeks, and the rumor is gaining local momentum. The report also adds that Indianapolis is said to be under consideration as a possible host city for WrestleMania in 2027.

Furthermore, WrestleVotes earlier reported that the promotion was planning to host a WrestleMania press event in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend. However, as per ra ecent update, the promotion is ‘reconsidering’ plans to hold WrestleMania Kickoff during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans.

TNA stars in Royal Rumble 2025

The Stamford-based promotion has recently announced a multi-year partnership with TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) which is “aimed at creating unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming for NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars.”

According to recent reports from PWInsider Elite, there has been notable progress ahead of the Royal Rumble PLE in the newly formed partnership. As per WWE creative sources, a pitch has already been made for at least one top TNA star to join the upcoming men’s WWE Royal Rumble match.

While TNA stars have made appearances in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, this report specifically pertains to the men’s match.

Jordynne Grace in WWE

TNA star Jordynne Grace’s contract with the promotion expired shortly after TNA Genesis 2025 PPV on January 19. Reports now suggest that she is now bound for the WWE and will report to the WWE Performance Centre.

Grace has been removed from the TNA Wrestling roster page and is expected to be a part of the 2025 women’s Rumble match. Grace locked horns with Tessa Blanchard in her final match at TNA Wrestling Genesis.

Latest update on Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill has been out of action since November 2024 when she was attacked backstage by a mystery assailant. Cargill was left bloodied and unconscious on the hood of a car with a broken windshield during the 11/22/24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

According to a recent report from PWInsider, Cargill is expected at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this week. The report also mentions that this marks her third consecutive week of training in the ring as she prepares for her return to WWE television.
