The vintage show returned after almost 16 years in 2024!

WWE resurrected its highly popular vintage show from the 1990s, Saturday Night’s Main Event. It was originally broadcast by NBC from 1985 to 1991 and was revived briefly in 2006 as a series of prime time specials on NBC.

However, since the return of the show in December 2024, which airs on NBC and streaming on Peacock, the show has seen back-to-back successful shows headlined by huge stars. The first-ever SNME show was held in May 1985.

Since then, the promotion has been put on a total of 40 editions, with the July 2025 edition being the latest. The revived version pays tribute to the original Saturday Night’s Main Event and WWE’s 1980s era, incorporating nostalgic elements such as the absence of a TitanTron, red-white-and-blue ring ropes, referees dressed in formal attire, and retro-style branding featuring WWE’s classic “throwback” logo.

Let’s take a look at the main event winners, headliners, and venues from every edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
