Sheamus came to the match in the hope of becoming a Grand Slam champion
In one of the most hard-hitting matches of the night, Bron Breakker defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. This clash of powerhouses delivered on every level, combining brute strength, high-impact offense, and unrelenting determination.
The match began with a classic collar-and-elbow tie-up, both men jockeying for position as they struggled into the corner. A clean break quickly turned into chaos as Sheamus exploded with a lariat and a barrage of right hands, taking Bron Breakker to the mat early. The fiery Breakker fought back, using his incredible power to send Sheamus crashing to the outside with a thunderous shoulder block.
The action spilled to ringside, where Sheamus showcased his veteran instincts, knocking Bron Breakker over the timekeeper’s barricade. Wasting no time, the Celtic Warrior dragged the champion back into the ring to continue the fight. However, the battle quickly returned to the floor, and in a jaw-dropping moment, Sheamus leapt off the steel steps only to be met midair by a devastating spear from Bron Breakker! The crowd erupted as the show cut to a commercial break.
Returning from the break, Bron Breakker had taken control of the match. He delivered a brutal knee to Sheamus’ midsection, followed by a fireman’s carry double knee gutbuster for a near fall. The momentum seemed firmly in Breakker’s favor, but Sheamus proved why he’s one of the toughest competitors in WWE.
With the crowd rallying behind him, Sheamus fired back with a flurry of right hands and landed a precision jumping knee strike that nearly put the champion away. The beats of the Bodhran echoed through the arena as Sheamus pummeled Breakker’s chest with clubbing blows. He followed up with the High Cross, driving Breakker into the mat for another near fall.
Breakker managed to escape a fireman’s carry attempt and countered with a military press power slam, but even that wasn’t enough to keep Sheamus down. The crowd was on their feet as Breakker hit an avalanche Frankensteiner, signalling his readiness to finish the match. Pulling down his straps, Breakker charged at Sheamus but the Celtic Warrior countered with a thunderous Brogue Kick!

Sheamus, exhausted and battered, crawled to make the cover, but Bron Breakker managed to save himself by draping a foot on the ropes at the last second. Frustrated but undeterred, Sheamus tried to go for another Brogue Kick, only for his injured ribs to betray him. Breakker capitalized with a shoulder block that stunned Sheamus and set up the finish.
As Sheamus attempted one last Brogue Kick, Breakker ducked under, rebounded off the ropes, and delivered a thunderous spear that nearly split the Celtic Warrior in half. The three-count followed, and Breakker retained his WWE Intercontinental Championship in a grueling battle.
