The SummerSlam fallout show emanated from Montreal!
After delivering the SummerSlam fallout show of Monday Night Raw, WWE delivered the fallout show of Friday Night SmackDown, which aired live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
John Cena kicked off the show and was ambushed by Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre, leading to a tag team clash between the two teams in the main event. The tag team clash ended in DQ as Paul took Cena with a low blow, while McIntyre took out Rhodes with a Claymore through the announce desk.
Additionally, Logan Paul challenged Cena for a match at the upcoming Clash in Paris. The 17-time World Champion accepted the challenge and WWE made the match official later in the show.
Solo Sikoa’s MFT (Talla Tonga & JC Mateo) defeated Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), while Solo Sikoa suffered a roll-up pinfall defeat at the hands of Montreal’s own Sami Zayn.
Furthermore, Charlotte Flair slammed Chelsea Green face-first onto a cake to secure the victory. Additionally, Jade Cargill confronted Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and told her that next time they meet, the story will be different. Tiffany responded that the story might be different, but the outcome will be the same.
During the August 8 fallout show, the promotion kicked off the build towards the Clash in Paris PLE, announcing multiple matches for next week’s show.
The Miz will return to in-ring action alongside Carmelo Hayes next week

During the show, A Wyatt Sicks VHS promo aired, where Uncle Howdy promised never to lead the audience astray. Each member took turns saying cryptic phrases while clips of the SummerSlam TLC match played.
After the promo, the Street Profits reacted to the promo in a backstage segment when DIY approached to chastise them for losing the tag titles and causing Candice LeRae to suffer a painful bruise on her hip in the TLC match. The two teams exchanged heated words, and GM Nick Aldis intervened, vowing to get the tag division under control, starting with a match between the two teams next week.
In another backstage segment, Carmelo Hayes knocked on Nick Aldis’ office when The Miz unexpectedly popped out. Hayes was unhappy to see him and complained that Miz had left him hanging for nearly two months.
The A-Lister offered several explanations before telling him he’d secured a tag team match to remind everyone of how great Melo is. Hayes left as Aldis arrived, and Miz followed him into his office to make the match happen.
Following the vicious attack on Rhodes during the final moments of August 8, Drew McIntyre is now set to address the attack on Cody Rhodes on this week’s show.
The August 15 episode of WWE SmackDown will air live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and will continue the build towards Clash in Paris.
