Hello everyone and welcome to Khel Now’s HIGHLIGHTS and RESULTS of the WWE Friday Night SmackDown (June 20, 2025). The start of the show is just a few hours away! I’m your host, Abhijit, and I’ll be keeping you company through what promises to be a fascinating evening of pro wrestling action. Please wait 30 seconds for the Live blog to load.

The June 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate live from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The show will continue to build towards the Night of Champions 2025, with two semi-finals in the King and Queen of the Ring tournament.

Multiple top stars, including Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Nia Jax, and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, are being advertised for the show. This week’s show will also feature appearances from superstars from the Raw brand.

Matches announced for 06/20 WWE SmackDown

  • John Cena vs Ron ‘R-Truth’ Killings
  • Randy Orton vs Sami Zayn – Semi-final match in the King of the Ring tournament
  • Alexa Bliss vs Asuka – Semi-final match in the Queen of the Ring tournament

John Cena vs Ron ‘R-Truth’ Killings

Following back-to-back attacks by R-Truth on the Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena on last week’s show, the two stars are set to battle again this week. Cena was already irked after the first attack during the opening moments; however, when he called out Truth, CM Punk walked out to cut a promo.

Truth once again capitalized on the distraction, attacking the Champion. He got what he asked from General Manager Nick Aldis as he will now battle Cena in a non-title match.

Randy Orton vs Sami Zayn – Semi-final match in the King of the Ring

In the first semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, Randy Orton will battle Sami Zayn on this week’s show. The winner of the match will advance to the finals and will battle the winner of the second semi-final between Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. The finals of the tournament will take place on the 2025 edition of Night of Champions in Riyadh. The winner of the tournament will also get a title shot at SummerSlam.

Alexa Bliss vs Asuka – Semi-final match in the Queen of the Ring tournament

In the first semi-final match of the Queen of the King tournament, Alexa Bliss will battle Asuka, who made her return on this week’s Raw and defeated Ivy Nile, Stephanie Vaquer, and Raquel Rodriguez to secure the final spot in the semi-finals. The winner of this match will advance to the finals, and similar to KOTR, the finals will take place at Night of Champions, with the winner getting a title shot at SummerSlam.
