The August 15 episode of SmackDown featured two tag team clashes!

The August 15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and continued the build towards the upcoming Clash in Paris, which is now less than two weeks away.

One-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss, pinned Piper Niven in a singles match and was attacked by Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre, and Niven after the match. Bliss’ tag partner Charlotte Flair tried to even the odds but fell prey to the numbers game.

Melo Don’t Miz (The Miz & Carmelo Hayes) defeat Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer), amid blind tag drama from Miz and Hayes. Drew McIntyre addressed the attack on Cody Rhodes, while Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeated DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa).

In the main event of the show, the team of Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso, and Jacob Fatu defeated MFTs (Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo & Tonga Loa). Zayn pinned Sikoa in the backdrop of voicing his intentions to battle Solo for the United States title.

During the August 15 show, the promotion announced multiple matches and segments for the next week’s show. After last week’s confrontation with Logan Paul, John Cena is set to make an appearance on the August 22 show in Dublin, Ireland. This will be his final appearance in the country.

Furthermore, Aleister Black will battle R-Truth in a singles match, following their heated exchange in a backstage segment this week.

Additionally, Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) will take on Melo Don’t Miz (The Miz & Carmelo Hayes). The match was set up following a backstage segment where Hayes and Miz interrupted MCMG, who were talking to GM Nick Aldis. Hayes wanted to ask for a US title shot.

The August 22 episode of WWE SmackDown is set to air live from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. This will be the first show of WWE in Europe ahead of Clash in Paris. The promotion has also planned episodes of Raw and live shows in the continent.
