Damian Priest kicked off the fallout show!

The December 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown served as the fallout show for the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, where John Cena bid farewell to the WWE Universe.

Damian Priest kicked off the show and was attacked by Aleister Black, who took him out through a table, before continuing the attack backstage. In the first match of the show, Lash Legend and Nia Jax defeated The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane).

On the other hand, Giulia pinned Alba Fyre, while the team of Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes defeated DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa) in a tag team match.

Furthermore, Michin ambushed Jade Cargill backstage after last week’s attack. In the main event, the WWE Tag titles clash between The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) and The MFTs (JC Mateo & Tonga Loa) ended in DQ as a brawl erupted to end the show.

During this week’s show, the promotion announced multiple matches and segments for next week’s show, which will be the final SmackDown of 2025, as WWE looks ahead to 2026. It will also be the final two-hour show of SmackDown as the Blue brand once again transitions to the three-hour format.

Joe Hendry is set to make his SmackDown in-ring debut next week as he is set to take on The Miz in a singles match. This week, Miz asked for the match himself in a backstage segment with General Manager Nick Aldis, seeking revenge after being humiliated by him at John Cena’s retirement show earlier this month.

Drew McIntyre’s suspension from Friday Night SmackDown has officially ended, and he’ll mark his return by appearing on next week’s episode.

As part of his reinstatement, McIntyre was promised a future title match against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, with the condition that Rhodes cannot even lay afinger on him before the championship bout. Fans can expect to hear McIntyre’s thoughts on that upcoming title opportunity next week.

Additionally, Ilja Dragunov’s United States title open challenge will continue next week with a new mystery opponent. Notably, the December 26 show has already been pre-taped this week, and the spoilers for the show are out.
