WWE SmackDown Results, Highlights & Winners (August 02, 2024): The Bloodline wins gold

Cody & Solo agreed to Bloodline Rules match, Andrade defeats Hayes, Tiffany got new briefcase, Bloodline wins gold & much more!!!
The August 02, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is officially over and it is the SummerSlam go-home episode. The show featured some of the great matches and segments for the show incluting the final face-offs and two title matches. Get to know what happened this week on SmackDown, as we came out with the complete summary, results, winners list and grades for the show.
WWE SmackDown Summary & Highlights
Face-off: Cody Rhodes & Solo Sikoa
Cody Rhodes kicks-off Friday Night SmackDown and he calls out Solo Sikoa to the ring to say things face to face. Solo Sikoa came out alone without The Bloodline. He demands acknowledgment from the WWE Universe, but only got disrespected.
Cody says that he feels the chip on Solo’s shoulder being a younger brother. He went on to address about their upcoming match, but Solo cuts him off saying that he is wasting his time, like his championship reign. Cody is not done talking and says that he earned the title and not selfclaimed himself as Tribal Chief. Cody is the champ, who won by defeating Solo’s cousin Roman Reigns in a Bloodline rules match.
Solo said that Roman was a weak Tribal Chief, but he is not. Talking about Bloodline rules, Solo asked for a Bloodline rules match with Cody, if he dares. Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa surrounded the ring, but Cody fears none of it and accepts for the Bloodline rules match.
Solo said that he made a big mistake. Solo could destroy Cody in a snap of his fingers, but he won’t do it, because he want the title at SummerSlam. Cody says that he too indeed to fight with the Tribal Chief, however the Tribal Chief is not here and so he will settle with the wanne be.
Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes
Both began tha match exchanging strikes, chops and drop kicks and countering each other’s move. Carmelo Hayes sneaked out of the ring and dragged Andrade‘s knee to the steel steps. Hayed delivered a springboard crossbody and locks him for a submission hold.
Andrade breaks it with a forearm to the face and went for the double knees. However Hayes escaped and the countering game continued, until Hayes delivered a springboard assisted suplex. Hayes went for the top rope, but Andrade took him down with a super-plex.
Back after commerical, Andrade took Hayes down and delivered a Moonsault. Back in the ring Hayes delivered a tornado facebuster. Hayes mocked Andrade’s double knees, but Andrade stops him with the back elbow strike, double moonsault and locks him with the figure-4.
Hayes breaks the lock, delivered a couple of superkick and went for nothing but net. However, Andrade escapes and rolled him for a pinfall victory.
Santos Escobar vs Apollo Crews
The match began with Elektra Lopez distracting Apollo Crews and Santos Escobar taking advantage targetting his back. Apollo had a brief control with a Gorilla Press Slam and a standing Moonsault. Angel and Betro tried to distract him, but Corbin took them out.
Apollo went for the top rope, but Apollo and Berto distracted him again and attacked Corbin. Escobar took Apollo with a Fantom Driver and picked up the win.
Logan Paul comes home
Nick Aldis with the Cleveland’s dignitaries introduced Logan Paul to the ring. Logan Paul addressed his match against LA Knight and got upset with the crowd for supporting Knight. Logan said that they are here to celebrate the greatness and he went to unviel a banner, but Logan’s picture is written with Yeah! over it.
LA Knight interrupted him and he says that he will defeat Logan for the US title tomorrow. Knight goes to grab a new banner for Logan, but found the Prime truck and stole it.
WWE Women’s Championship Match- The Unholy Union vs Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn tried for a jump start before the bell, but the challengers took them down with Suplexes. Jade Cargill and Dawn started the match and Cargill takes control Dawn and tags Bianca Belair in. Belair tries to suplex her, but Fyre stops her. Cargill gets in and the challengers gorilla press slammed the champs down and stand tall, before the commercial.
After the commercial, Fyre has Cargill’s leg and Dawn pulled Belair down to stop Cargill tagging Belair in. Alba and Isla with a swantom to Cargill took control. However Jade took them down with a double clothesline and tags Belair in.
Belair is fired up and she took both her opponents down. Cargill took Isla out and Blair Davenport attacked Jade Cargill to end the match in a disqualification. Davenport aligns with Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. The trio took Belair and brutally attacked Cargill down.
Backstage
Nia Jax gifts a new briefcase to Tiffany Stratton and ask her to not cash in on SummerSlam and she agrees. Green and Niven met her to see the new briefcase, and says that the Green will suit the case, but Tiffany took a verbal shot and walks away.
WWE Championship Match- #DIY vs The Bloodline
Tama Tonga & Tommaso Ciampa started the match with Tama taking Ciampa for a slam. after the commercial, Fatu got tagged in and went for a corner splash, however hit his head to the ring post. Gargano and Tama tagged and Gargano got fired up. he took both Fatu and Tonga single handedly. He took Fatu out and delivered a springboard assisted spear.
Ciampa tags in delivered a white noise from the top rope and Gargano jumps on Fatu. Tama Tonga tags Fatu in and he tok Ciampa with a clash and a super kick. Tama tags in, Fatu took Gargano out and sent for the wrecking ball to the steel steps, but his his back.
Inside the ring, Gargano delivered a Shatter Machine and looks for a Meeting in the middle. However The Bloodline distracted them, making Solo hit the Samoan Spike on Ciampa. Tama Tonga delivered a reverse DDT on Gargano. Fatu tags in and delivered a super kick, Samoan drop, Moonsault and a lifted DDT for the win. The Bloodline won the WWE Tag Team Championship and Solo poses with the two titles to end this week’s SmackDown.

- Cody Rhodes & Solo Sikoa have their final face-off and they agree to have a Bloodline Rules match at SummerSlam.
