Cathy Kelley was with Bianca Belair and Naomi backstage as she asked them about recapturing gold the previous week.

Bayley joined them as Naomi called her their unofficial tag partner. The three made their way for a six-woman tag match to kick off the show.
Bianca Belair, Naomi & Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax & Candice LeRae

Jax then accused Belair of possibly being the one behind the attack. The Women’s Champion said that Belair had an inferiority complex since Cargill was bigger, better, and faster. Jax wanted Belair to own up to her mistake or she would make her realize it.
The bell rang as Tiffany and Belair started the action in the six-woman tag match. Belair started to take control when Stratton rolled out of the ring towards her corner.
Bayley, Belair, and Naomi took out the opposing team ringside as the show went into commercials. Back from commercials, Belair was in control of the match as she landed multiple shots on Nia Jax and tagged in Naomi.

Cody Rhodes returns
Cody Rhodes‘ music hit as he made his return. Aldis asked Rhodes to turn around and walk away, for his sake and the company’s sake.
Rhodes stated that he wasn’t going to walk away. He said he didn’t want Kevin to hand over the title because he didn’t want him to be a martyr.
Rhodes stated that Owens always talked about how Roman Reigns tried to end his career, but he did the exact same thing to him at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Owens tried to mock Rhodes, but Rhodes wasn’t in the mood. He interrupted Owens and announced that if Owens wanted a match where the referee couldn’t interfere, then he too wanted a match where the referee couldn’t do anything—and he would make it happen.
Rhodes then stepped into the ring after convincing Nick Aldis. Cody floated the idea of hanging up both championship belts and yelled, “Kevin Owens – ladder match.”
