WWE had a great start for this month with a great SummerSlam PLE

The whole dynamics of the company changed after the 2024 SummerSlam PLE, four new champions were crowned and the show featured several betrayals. The weekly shows are hotter than ever with the brand new storylines and the competitive championship pursuits. As we enter a completely different dynamic from the start of the month, here we take a look at the top five WWE Storylines to watch out for in August 2024.

5. Tiffany Stratton’s struggle to MITB cash-in

Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton formed an ally, with both having their sights on the WWE Women’s Championship. Tiffany agreed to a deal with Jax, that she cannot cash in against Nia if she wins at SummerSlam. At SummerSlam, Jax won the WWE Women’s Championship from Bayley, and TIffany is now not able to cash in against her friend. At this stage, how will Tiffany overcome the friendship barrier, her struggles to cash in could be one of the top storylines to watch out for in August 2024.

4. CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre

The month began in favor of Drew McIntyre as he went on to defeat CM Punk at SummerSlam 2024. Both of them are not done with the feud, as Drew still has Punk’s bracelet with him and Punk has been claiming for a rematch with Drew. Since both are teasing about continuing their feud, the cat and mouse game will be one of the top storylines to watch out for this month.

3. Gunther vs Randy Orton

On the August 5, 2024, episode of Raw, Randy Orton confronted Gunther and challenged him to a World Heavyweight Championship match at Bash in Berlin 2024. Orton claimed the King of the Ring Tournament incident as the reason for Gunther’s title win and The Ring General agreed to defend his title to have a clean closure for their match. This is the biggest singles match for Orton since his WWE return. Orton entering the world title picture again, and how the mind games will be playing out could be one of the top storylines to watch out for this month.

2. Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs Judgment Day

Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio betrayed Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam to kick them out of the faction. The Judgment Day without Ripley and Priest aligned themselves with Liv Morgan and shocked the entire WWE Universe. The babyface run of Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley and their revenge against The Judgment Day will be one of the top storylines to watch out for this month.

1. Roman Reigns’ mission to recapture the throne

Roman Reigns made his long-awaited return at WWE SummerSlam and cost Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline Rules Match to make a big statement that he is the ‘Original Tribal Chief’. Following that Roman makes his SmackDown return and is most likely to begin a feud with Solo Sikoa and his new Bloodline. Roman’s journey to recapture the throne and the process of reuniting the OG Bloodline members is one of the top WWE storylines to watch out for in August 2024.
