New tag team champions in house!
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship changed hands at SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 as Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair shocked Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez to capture the gold.
In a bout filled with fast-paced action, teamwork, and near-falls, it was the returning Bliss who sealed the victory with a brutal Sister Abigail DDT.
The match opened with Perez and Bliss squaring off, with Alexa quickly gaining momentum using an arm drag before tagging in Flair. The Queen wasted no time clearing house, hitting her signature boot to knock Raquel off the apron. Perez, undeterred, jumped on Charlotte’s back for a sleeper but ended up eating a snapmare for her trouble.
Raquel tagged in and overpowered Flair with heavy offense. She delivered a fallaway slam and let Roxanne follow up with a handspring knee drop that nearly ended things early. Charlotte, fighting from underneath, hit a diving Frankensteiner but couldn’t get to her corner as Perez returned to block the tag.
Alexa Bliss turns the tide with fiery comeback
Bliss finally tagged in and lit up the ring with shoulder blocks, a Lou Thesz Press, and a stiff dropkick. After a handspring knee drop, Raquel broke up the pin. Perez hit a flashy corkscrew uppercut and went for a double-jump moonsault, but Alexa rolled away just in time.
Rodriguez returned and looked to end it with a powerful backbreaker, but Bliss escaped. Flair came flying back in, delivering a fallaway slam and going for the Figure Eight, only to be stopped by a Perez moonsault.
Alexa Bliss lands the final blow
The champions worked a quick sequence of tags and hit Pop Rox on Flair, but Alexa broke up the pin at the last second. Charlotte booted Raquel off the apron, clearing the way for Bliss to hook Perez and plant her with a devastating Sister Abigail DDT.
One, two, three. The crowd erupted as Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair stood tall, holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships high.
