Brock Lesnar has issued a challenge for WrestleMania 42.

WWE is moving fast-paced on the road to WrestleMania 42, and Brock Lesnar will be a part of the festivities. The Beast Incarnate returned on the February 23 edition of Monday Night RAW to issue an open challenge for a match at The Show of Shows.

This could lead to some highly captivating and star-studded bouts for the event. So, here is a look at the top five WWE superstars who could be Brock Lesnar’s opponent at WrestleMania this year.

5. LA Knight

According to a report, LA Knight is one of the choices to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. The Megastar is touted to have a lot of potential and a feud against Lesnar, leading up to a match at The Show of Shows, could be the program to unlock it and become a main-event player in the company.

On the road to WrestleMania 42, a scenario could see Randy Orton fail to emerge victorious inside the Elimination Chamber match to earn a WWE title shot.

Wanting to have a marquee spot at The Grandest Stage of Them All, Orton could turn to Brock Lesnar and answer his open challenge, setting up a rematch from their previous encounter at the 2016 SummerSlam event.

3. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho’s rumored return to WWE has been a debate for months now. It could be possible that WWE might want to save such a thunderous return for their biggest show.

Should that happen, it could see Jericho come back at WrestleMania 42 as Lesnar’s mystery opponent for a match at the ‘Grandest Stage.’

2. Oba Femi

The WWE Universe erupted in loud cheers upon witnessing the brief clash between Brock Lesnar and former NXT Champion Oba Femi in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match.

A follow-up report stated that Femi is among the top contenders for a match against The Beast at WrestleMania. This could set up one of the hardest-hitting matches between two powerhouses of the Stamford-based promotion.

1. Gunther

The Career Killer, Gunther, has been on a path to destroy superstars and retire multiple legends from WWE. His next target could be none other than the Beast Incarnate.

The Ring General could answer the call for a match against Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 and goad him to put his career on the line to end the legacy of one more legend after John Cena, AJ Styles, and Goldberg.

When was Brock Lesnar’s last in-ring appearance?

Lesnar last competed in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match, where he was eliminated by Cody Rhodes and LA Knight.

What did Paul Heyman announce on RAW?

Paul Heyman issued an open challenge for WrestleMania 42 on Lesnar’s behalf and revealed his upcoming RAW appearances.
