Top five WWE superstars to win Universal and Intercontinental championship

There is only been a rare list of WWE superstars to achieve the accolade of holding the two most important titles in wrestling.
WWE has been the home to world-class in-ring athletes who break into the business to attain championship glory and success in the hopes of elevating their careers to unprecedented heights.
Among those impressive talents, there has been a rare list of competitors who have been the only ones to hold the prestigious WWE Intercontinental and Universal Championships in their careers. Here is the list of WWE superstars to hold both championships in their careers:
5. Finn Balor
Finn Balor made history by coming up to the main roster from NXT in 2016 and in only a matter of weeks became the first-ever WWE Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam. Although that reign lasted only a day due to Balor getting injured in the match, he would take time off to rehabilitate and come back stronger. In 2018, he captured the Intercontinental title impressively by defeating then-champion Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush at the Elimination Chamber event.
4. Kevin Owens
After Finn Balor vacated the Universal Championship in 2016, Kevin Owens stepped up to the opportunity outlasting stars like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to capture his first World Championship on the main roster. Before that, The Prize Fighter would upon his momentum by winning his first WWE Intercontinental title by dethroning Ryback at WWE Night of Champions 2015.
3. Cody Rhodes
The first leg of Cody Rhodes‘ WWE career saw him claim the Intercontinental Championship for the first time during his ‘Undashing’ persona in 2011, defeating Ezekiel Jackson on SmackDown and later on capturing the title one more time. Of course, years later, Rhodes has now created history by capturing the Undisputed Universal championship at WrestleMania 40 by ending Roman Reigns’ historic 1,316-day reign as champion to ‘Finish The Story’ much to the ovation of the fans.
2. Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins is known to make history at WWE’s premier show, WrestleMania. At the 34th edition of the show, Rollins defeated The Miz and Finn Balor to win his first-ever Intercontinental title. The Visionary would continue his championship-winning ways the WrestleMania following year when he battled and slayed The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 to win his first Universal Championship.
1. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns‘ impressive and illustrious career had a long stint as the WWE Universal Championship that he won at SummerSlam 2018 defeating his historic rival, Brock Lesnar for the first time in singles action. Similarly, The Tribal Chief also had a short tenure WWE Intercontinental title reign etched in his resume that he won in 2017 on RAW by dethroning The Miz for the workhorse championship.
