LA Knight & Shinsuke Nakamura had a good match
LA Knight has established himself as a fighting champion since defeating Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam to win the title.
However, Nakamura returned as a different type of foe, striking The Megastar only seconds after successfully defending his championship against Berto. He then launched a second brutal attack on the titleholder on the next edition of SmackDown, violently attacking him against the ring post just minutes after the United States Champion overcame Santos Escobar.
LA Knight defended the United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Survivor Series 2024. Positioned between two massive WarGames bouts, this match faced the challenge of keeping the crowd engaged, but both competitors delivered a hard-hitting, action-packed encounter.
Shinsuke Nakamura had the upper hand from the start
The WWE match began with Nakamura quickly gaining the upper hand with his signature Strong Style offense.
LA Knight countered with his brawling tactics, taking Nakamura outside the ring and slamming him into the barricade and apron. Back inside, Knight briefly maintained control until Nakamura’s precision strikes turned the tide.
Knight’s grit was on full display as he blocked a kick and delivered a devastating Burning Hammer for a near fall, igniting the crowd. Nakamura responded with an avalanche inverted exploder suplex, bringing the match to the brink of a finish.
The intensity ramped up as both men pushed their limits. Knight connected with a double-jump elbow drop to regain momentum, but Nakamura wisely retreated to the steel platform between the rings. Seizing the opportunity, Nakamura used the unforgiving steel to his advantage, slamming Knight into the diamond plate and regaining control.
The match reached its climax when Nakamura planted Knight with a reverse DDT on the steel platform. The impact left Knight vulnerable, allowing Nakamura to deliver a thunderous Kinshasa for the decisive victory.
Result: Shinsuke Nakamura defeated LA Knight to win the United States Championship
