The Final Boss has been absent from WWE programming since October 2024

WWE CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque recently sat down with Jimmy Traina on the SI Media Podcast. During the conversation, Levesque and Traina discussed multiple topics especially the upcoming debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.

Levesque also provided an update regarding the length of the show, the PG rating, an update on John Cena, and more. Traina during the conversation also requested Levesque to clear the air regarding Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s WrestleMania 41 status.

There are multiple conflicting reports regarding Johnson’s WrestleMania status while some reports suggest that he will not be available for the event, other reports suggest that he will likely have a match at the grandest stage.

The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on April 19 and 20, 2025. The PLE will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA.

Traina used the opportunity to talk directly with Levesque to ask him about Johnson’s status for the grandest stage in April. Levesque had high praise for Johnson and lauded him as the Final Boss in reality due to his stature as ‘the biggest box office star in the world’.

“The one thing about The Rock, you can call him The Final Boss, in a way it’s an accurate statement. He is, I don’t want to say more so than anybody else, but he is the biggest box office star in the world. He has earned the right, and is in the position to do what he wants to do. He does what is right for WWE and the projects that he works on.” Levesque said

While praising Johnson, Levesque also stated that he does not want to give anything away as it would spoil the surprise for fans. However, Levesque hinted at upcoming game-changing moments, emphasizing that Johnson is a true game-changer in the industry.

“He’s super collaborative with me and super collaborative with Nick on what we want to do, contrary to what a lot of people think. Time will tell. I don’t want to give anything away, but I do believe that as moments appear here that are huge game-changing moments, he’s a game-changer. That’s what he does and who he is,” Triple H stated.

Johnson has been absent from the WWE programming since his last appearance at Bad Blood 2024 PLE. He made an appearance after the main event of the PLE where he left without saying a word. Johnson only stared down Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns during the appearance.

The WrestleMania 41 card will begin to take shape as storylines evolve

Multiple matches and showdowns have been under discussion for the PLE as per reports. The current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will likely headline the event this year.

According to Triple H, the initial plans card for WrestleMania was loosely written out in October, but multiple developments forced their hands to change the card which is usually the case. The match card for the grandest stage would start to take shape following Royal Rumble PLE.

Along with the year’s biggest event, WWE will host a series of thrilling shows throughout the week. The lineup features Raw, SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, and the Hall of Fame ceremony.
