WWE & WCW vault videos now available in India following Netflix transition

Netflix is the new home for WWE in India!
Beginning on April 1, a new era dawned for WWE fans in India. Following their global transition to Netflix, WWE transitioned its shows and programs exclusively to Netflix in India too. This marked the end of its long-term broadcasting partnership with Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI).
SPNI has been the exclusive broadcaster for regular programming, PLEs, and events since 2002. However, similar to international markets, weekly programs along with PLEs will now be exclusively streamed on Netflix. Indian fans can also enjoy specially curated content, vault videos, and more, similar to what is offered on Netflix internationally.
The first show to stream on Netflix was the 02/31 episode of Monday Night Raw which emanated from London, England. However, as this was before the transition the show also was broadcasted on SPNI. The first show to exclusively stream on the streaming giant in the country was the April 01 episode of WWE NXT.
Following the transition, another library of contents has been made available for Indian fans as WWE and WCW Vault videos are now accessible to fans in India. They can access vault videos on WWE’s YouTube channel named “WWE Vault“.
The promotion posts regular videos from past episodes of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT as well as PLEs. Many unseen footage as well as specially curated content featuring legends is also available on the channel.
SPNI bids farewell to WWE fans after decades of memories
As mentioned the transition marked an end to an iconic partnership between the Stamford-based promotion and Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) which began in the 2000s. Marking the end of the partnership, Sony Liv, SPNI’s streaming service from its official X account tweeted thanking the fans.
“Years of unforgettable WWE moments, countless emotions, and memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you, WWE Universe ❤️”
WWE CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque also commented on the tweet expressing gratitude to Sony for their years of delivering action to fans in India. “Grateful to our partner @SonyLIV for their years of bringing @WWE action to our fans across @WWEIndia.”
Levesque also hyped the Netflix era reminding fans that the action and unpredictability will now be available on the streaming giant. “A new era for #WWE begins in India… All the action. All the excitement. All the unpredictability.@netflix is the new home for @WWE in @WWEIndia!”
