WWE Women’s US Title Tournament: Updated brackets following 12/6 SmackDown

The WWE Women’s United States Championship tournament is in its final phases
The semifinals for the tournament to determine the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Championship winner have been set, with Tiffany Stratton defeating Naomi and Elektra Lopez on tonight’s broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown to claim the last slot.
The victory happened when Naomi had Lopez down for the count, despite Candice LeRae’s intervention, but it was enough for Stratton as she was able to throw Naomi out of the ring, capitalize, hit her Prettiest Moonsault Ever and pin Lopez for the win.
It should be noted that tonight’s WWE SmackDown took place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which is Ms. Money in the Bank’s hometown. It’s unclear whether it was considered when the decision to advance her in the tournament was made, but it wouldn’t be shocking if WWE planned it ahead of time.
With this victory, Stratton will face Michin in the semifinals of next week’s SmackDown, with the winner facing either Bayley or Chelsea Green in the finals of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14th.
Here are the updated brackets for the first round:
- Bayley vs Cancie LeRae vs B-Fab
- Bianca Belair vs Chelsea Green vs Blair Davenport
- Jade Cargill vs Michin vs Piper Niven
- Noami vs Tiffany Stratton vs Elektra Lopez
