Charlotte Flair won the 2025 Royal Rumble match
Another big WrestleMania 41 bout was announced on the February 14th episode of WWE SmackDown. This occurred when Charlotte Flair, the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble victor, made her presence known by confirming Tiffany Stratton as her WrestleMania opponent.
This ensures that The Queen will face the WWE Women’s Champion at The Showcase of the Immortals, providing for an intriguing match for the WWE Universe to watch. In this post, we’ll go over three reasons why Charlotte picked Tiffany as her opponent for this year’s Show of Shows.
3. Rhea Ripley & Charlotte Flair have already clashed at WrestleMania
Aside from Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair had another choice on WWE RAW: Rhea Ripley, the Women’s World Champion. However, Flair may have selected Stratton since she had already battled The Eradicator at WrestleMania twice.
Their first encounter was at WrestleMania 36, when The Queen dethroned Rhea Ripley as NXT Women’s Champion. Later, at WrestleMania 39, Ripley exacted her revenge by beating Flair and winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Given that Flair and Ripley have previously faced off at two WrestleManias, WWE may have decided to book Flair vs Stratton for this year’s Show of Shows.
2. To help cement Tiffany Stratton as a champion
Tiffany Stratton has had a generally good reception from the live audience whenever she performs. However, she still requires a push and further advancement as a star and a champion.
Charlotte Flair is a multi-time women’s champion and one of WWE’s most famous and well-known female superstars. Getting Charlotte to face Tiffany in a match at The Grandest Stage of Them All appears to be a calculated effort to boost Stratton’s standing on the main roster and as a champion.
1. Charlotte Flair might be considering Tiffany Stratton “weak”
Tiffany Stratton still has a lot to prove on the main roster, which is likely why Charlotte Flair chose her as her opponent for WWE WrestleMania 41. Compared to Rhea Ripley, Charlotte may see Tiffany as a less dominant champion and a potentially easier challenge.
Stratton’s underdog status, along with her “Buff Barbie” persona, could be another key reason the multi-time women’s champion made this decision.
