Jacob Fatu looked so fired up
WrestleMania 41 Saturday lit up with electricity as the highly anticipated clash for the United States Championship took centre stage. A chilling video package hyped the collision between LA Knight and the menacing Jacob Fatu, setting the tone for what would become an all-out war.
The eerie sound of drums hit as Jacob Fatu entered the stadium, donning a haunting werewolf mask, flanked by Solo Sikoa, who accompanied him to the stage before disappearing backstage. Fatu walked alone to the ring focused, feral, and ready to claim gold.
The crowd erupted as LA Knight made his entrance in true megastar fashion, arriving in a slick black Maserati. With a thunderous “YEAH!” the match was on.
Knight came out swinging with hard right hands, ducking Fatu’s power and hitting a sharp neckbreaker. He looked to end things early with the BFT, but Fatu flipped to his feet and planted Knight with a pop-up Samoan Drop, showing his freakish agility. A spinning elbow from Fatu grounded Knight, but the fan-favorite quickly rallied back with a baseball slide and a beautiful top-rope elbow.
The momentum swung violently between both men. Fatu’s thunderous crossbody and powerslam nearly sealed the deal, but Knight’s resilience kept the fans screaming. Fatu crushed Knight with a corner splash, only to eat a dropkick and a running knee moments later.
Knight punished Fatu’s shoulder by slamming him into both ring posts before landing a top-rope elbow that just barely earned a two-count.
But Fatu wouldn’t stay down.
The crowd was right behind Jacob Fatu
‘The Samoan warrior’ fired back with a superkick, triple running hip attacks, and a breathtaking Swanton bomb. Knight somehow kicked out, but the tide had turned. The crowd roared, “Let’s go Fatu, LA Knight!” as both warriors stood toe-to-toe.
Knight caught Fatu mid-air with a BFT out of nowhere as WrestleMania magic was in motion but Fatu wisely got his arm on the bottom rope just in time.
Fatu weathered a final onslaught, then caught Knight with a superkick, followed by a top-rope Samoan Drop. The exclamation point? Not one, but two consecutive top-rope moonsaults. 1-2-3!
Winner and NEW United States Champion: Jacob Fatu
The crowd exploded as WWE Hall of Famer Haku joined his son in the ring for an emotional post-match celebration. The Samoan legacy grows stronger and Jacob Fatu just cemented himself as the most dangerous new force on the WWE main roster.
