The first installment of WrestleMania 42, Night 1, emanated on April 18 from Allegiant Stadium. The show featured a stacked card with seven matches, four of which had a title on the line.
The six-man tag team match between the Vision, along with IShowSpeed and the Usos teaming up with LA Knight kicked off the show, while the Undisputed title clash between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton headlined the show. The first hour of the night aired on ESPN2 and ESPN, respectively, in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
Additionally, the show had an early start time of 6 PM ET/ 3 PM PT. John Cena hosted the event, marking his first WWE appearance since retiring from in-ring competition at the December 2025 edition of SNME.
Following Night 1 on Saturday, WWE will also deliver Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 on Sunday, which features six matches. The show will be headlined by CM Punk and Roman Reigns, with the World Heavyweight title up for grabs.
